Advisor, functional architecture

Brief description of the position :

In order to meet the needs of its clients in the IT sector, FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for functional architecture consultants motivated to carry out mandates. The main missions would be to advise clients on functional architecture choices based on business process orientations, coordinate implementations and knowledge transfer.

Main responsibilities :

Without limitation, the main tasks involve:

• Support and advise clients in the design and implementation of functional architecture projects;
• Carry out functional architecture projects in connection with the maintenance and development of software and applications; Conduct risk analyses to identify deployment hazards;
• Provide solutions taking into account the needs of functional architecture and business orientations of customers;
• Lead, as needed, the work with the development and functional analysis teams involving the design and optimization of technological solutions;
• Participate in the development of deadlines and deliverables for various functional architecture projects and subsequently approve them;
• Participate in the implementation and execution of quality assurance and integration tests and resolve anomalies;
• Prioritize the implementation operations according to the budget and associated costs;
• Produce all technical documentation, presentation materials and reports for training purposes;
• Act as an expert to the project teams, be the main referent, and collaborate on all technological advancement projects;
• Collaborate with all other stakeholders to make decisions and identify appropriate solutions.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering (computer science, software), or any other related discipline;
• 5 (five) to 15 (fifteen) years of experience in the field of IT;
• Relevant experience of at least 03 (three) years in functional architecture;
• Experience as a functional architecture consultant;
• Knowledge of test automation;
• Knowledge of Scrum/Waterfall and conventional agile project management methodologies;
• Knowledge of tools such as Azure DeVOps, GIT, TFS, an asset;
• Knowledge of the following development modes: BDD, TDD, etc. ;
• Experience with programming languages: SQL, .Net, C#, Visual Studio, HTML5, JAVA, JAVASCRIPT, etc.;
• Knowledge of technologies such as: Jenkins, Angular, Docker, JQuery, Bootstrap;
• Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite;
• Good communication and writing skills in French and English;
• Mobility (an asset).
