Cathedral School is currently in search of an Associate Teacher with a Primary Specialty as our newest team member. The successful candidate will be committed to inspiring students, understanding the unique developmental and social needs of students, and engaging with our vibrant and dynamic school community. Our school emphasizes a strong musical component, and the successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for and knowledge of music in education.

Required:Valid BC Teaching Certification

Strong candidateswill:

  • hold a valid BC Teaching Certification
  • as an asset have experience in music education
  • as an asset hold an ECE Certification
  • be familiar with the BC Ministry of Education Elementary curriculum and core competencies.
  • use differentiated teaching methods effectively.
  • understand the use of technologies in the classroom both for learning and learning support.
  • be familiar with a variety of formative and summative assessment tools.
  • work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the full school's effectiveness.
  • support the Anglican Ethos of our school programming.
