About the Opportunity
An established construction and building envelope organization is seeking a Cladding Estimator to join its team in Surrey, British Columbia. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional who enjoys preparing accurate, competitive project estimates and collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, specifications, and related documentation to determine project scope and requirements.
- Perform quantity take-offs and material calculations using architectural and engineering drawings.
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for cladding and façade-related projects.
- Submit bids and monitor project proposals to ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information and support cost negotiations.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to ensure alignment on project scope and requirements.
- Utilize estimating and documentation software, including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office applications.
- Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing records, and bid tracking systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of construction industry experience, preferably involving cladding, façade systems, or building envelope projects.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Excel, and GoNest or comparable estimating/optimization software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience estimating cladding, façade, or building envelope systems.
