Summary

Our Float Pool nurses provide dynamic support across multiple units, including Medicine and Surgery, with occasional opportunities to work in Renal and Cardiac. Nurses rotate between units and never work two consecutive shifts in the same area, ensuring variety and a broad skillset. Reporting to the Patient Care Manager or Resident Care Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient/resident-centered nursing care within an interdisciplinary team, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards. The LPN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents care, advocates for patients/residents, and collaborates with RN/RPN staff when care needs exceed LPN scope. The role also includes participation in care conferences, quality and safety activities, orientation of staff and students, and incident reporting as required.
