Description

We’re currently hiring coachable, motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our summerpainting crew. As a Painter, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality work on a variety of residential painting projects, gaining valuable experience while working outdoors in a supportive, student-led environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete Interior, Exterior Painting and Deck Staining/Painting Projects
Learn how to properly prep, paint/stain, and finish different surfaces, including wood, aluminum, drywall, stucco and more. You’ll gain full knowledge of industry-standard painting techniques and job site procedures.

  • Travel to Various Job Sites
Our projects take place throughout Bowmanville, Newcastle, and Courtice, so painters must be comfortable commuting between different homes and neighbourhoods throughout the summer as job sites will be different all summer long. Team transportation may be available depending on the day.

  • Work Safely at Heights
Many of our jobs involve multi-story homes, so painters will frequently be required to useladders and other equipment. You’ll be trained in ladder safety and will be expected to follow all safety protocols on site to ensure a safe workplace.

  • Maintain Job Site Quality & Cleanliness
You’ll be expected to help keep every single worksite clean, organized and professional, as it will be a standard throughout the summer.

  • Collaborate with a Positive, Hardworking Team
Teamwork is essential! You’ll be working alongside fellow students and team leaders to complete projects efficiently and effectively, with an emphasis on communication and mutual support with the teams.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to high-quality work

  • Strong attention to detail, high in integrity (stay true to your commitments) as well as the ability to use criticism and coaching to improve throughout the summer

  • Ability to work full-time during the summer season (May–August)

  • Comfortable with physical labor and working outdoors in the summer weather

  • Prior painting experience is preferred but not required as we provide full training and support

What You’ll Get:

  • Competitive pay with incremental increases in earnings based on performance, as you progress through the summer (+ tips and other benefits)

  • Valuable hands-on experience in all aspects of a skilled trade

  • A chance to work outdoors and stay active all summer long, with new work environments that promote work diversity.

  • To be a part of a student-focused team, that values your needs as a young individual (it is not required that applicants are to be students as age ranges for the position range from 17-25)

  • Opportunities to grow into leadership roles during the summer
