Project Manager – Property Restoration & Construction (Greater Toronto Area)

Leap Recruitment Partners is actively seeking an ambitious Project Manager on behalf of a valued client, a highly regarded property restoration and reconstruction firm operating across the Greater Toronto Area. Dedicated to providing rapid, end-to-end recovery for both commercial and residential properties, our client is expanding its agile project management team to support sustained regional growth.

The Role

This is a dynamic, field-forward hybrid position where you will spend the majority of your week on the road—collaborating directly with adjusters, tradespeople, and property owners—while utilizing regional office spaces for administrative work 1 to 2 days a week. As the critical first responder following a property loss, you will lead the initial site assessment, accurately scope the damage, and build comprehensive estimates.

Once a bid is won, you will smoothly transition the execution phase to the internal construction coordination team. We are looking for a driven professional with a proven track record in the insurance restoration space, someone who excels at building relationships and can confidently drive upwards of $1.5M in annual project billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary on-site representative during initial loss responses, conducting thorough walkthroughs and meticulously documenting property damage.

• Draft comprehensive repair estimates and align on scope, timelines, and pricing with independent insurance adjusters, brokers, and property owners.

• Drive regional revenue by actively converting initial estimates into secured contracts, monitoring your hit rates, and refining your sales approach.

• Facilitate a seamless handover of awarded contracts to the execution team, ensuring crystal-clear scope transfer and realistic project scheduling.

• Oversee a robust pipeline of concurrent restoration opportunities across the eastern GTA and surrounding municipalities.

• Uphold strict standards for site safety, work quality, and regulatory documentation from the initial estimate through to the construction handover.

• Provide regular insights to the leadership team regarding sales pipelines, billing milestones, and overall portfolio health.

Qualifications

• 4 to 5 years of proven project management experience within the general contracting or property restoration sectors in the Greater Toronto Area.

• Deep understanding of insurance-driven restoration workflows and a history of successful collaboration with independent adjusters.

• Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software (such as Xactimate) and strong capabilities in scoping fire, water, mold, and smoke damage.

• A demonstrable track record of successfully estimating and billing at least $1.5M in annual restoration or construction revenue.

• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to build trust quickly in high-stress, post-loss environments.

• A valid Ontario driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the flexibility to travel frequently throughout the assigned regional territory.

• Comfort operating independently in a highly mobile, road-first work environment.

Compensation & Perks

• Base Salary: $75,000–$80,000 annually.

• Performance Incentives: Monthly commission payouts based on 1% of the net revenue of secured estimates.

• On-Target Earnings (OTE): $95,000–$100,000+, with uncapped upside based on billing success.
