Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the Subscriptions engineering team across backend services.
- Own architectural decisions, technical planning, and project delivery timelines.
- Provide reliable ETAs, monitor delivery progress, and ensure SLA commitments.
- Develop and maintain subscription services in PHP and Go.
- Guide refactoring and modernization of legacy PHP codebases.
- Improve system scalability, performance, and operational reliability.
- Partner with Product, QA, and DevOps to ensure smooth releases and stable production environments.
- Foster best engineering practices, code quality, and technical documentation.
Requirements:
- 6+ years backend engineering experience (PHP and/or Go).
- Proven experience leading teams, managing delivery, and owning SLAs.
- Background in working with legacy PHP, migrations, and modernization.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and database optimization.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Background in monetization, payments, or recurring billing systems.
- Experience in gaming, fintech, or other high-load environments.
