Our client is seeking a Carpenter to join their team in Abbotsford, BC. As a Carpenter, you’ll play a key role in general carpentry and production—turning drawings and specifications into accurate, safe, and ready-to-assemble work. What's the Job?
- Read blueprints and shop drawings to support accurate fabrication and production.
- Lay out, build templates, and create jigs to ensure repeatable, precise results.
- Safely and efficiently operate a variety of small and large power tools and hand tools.
- Use best-practice fabrication and framing methods within prescribed tolerances for rough and finish carpentry.
- Rig and load materials to site for erection/installation, maintain activity logs, and prepare product for shipping.
What's Needed?
- Adherence to health and safety regulations, including consistent use of protective gear.
- Understanding of production procedures and the ability to follow job instructions and specifications.
- Ability to read blueprints, work orders, or production schedules to determine required work.
- Strong attention to detail, with quality control/assurance and safety from start to finish.
- Teamwork and communication skills, plus physical stamina and strength to lift up to 50 lbs.
