Description

We are currently seeking a Permanent Full-Time Coliseum Operator to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Coliseum Operator is primarily responsible for building conversions, ice maintenance, and overall facility maintenance to ensure SaskTel Centre is event-ready, safe, and operating efficiently. This hands-on role is essential to the successful setup and teardown of events, the operation and maintenance of the arena ice plant and ice surface, and the ongoing care of building systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and enjoys working as part of a team in a unique and exciting venue environment.

This position operates on a rotating schedule of 10-hour shifts, working a combination of day and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays as required. The successful candidate must be flexible and able to adapt to the changing operational needs of a busy sports and entertainment facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12 education.
One year's related building maintenance experience, including six months supervisory experience.
Possession of a valid Refrigeration Plant Operator's Certificate.
Possession of a valid Fireman's Certificate.
Successful completion of a recognized Forklift Safety Training Certification course.
Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence.
Current driver's abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid first aid certificate.
