Description

Robert Half is partnering with a client to identify an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations and support strategic financial management. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting expertise, a process-improvement mindset, and the ability to partner effectively across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements
  • Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management efforts
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
  • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other accounting operations
  • Coordinate annual audits and serve as a primary contact for external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local reporting requirements
  • Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to senior leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and reporting efficiency
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Previous experience as a Controller
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
