Permanent, Full-Time
Start date: November 2026
At Mulgrave School, we believe that great technology and thoughtful use of data can transform the learning experience. We’re looking for a curious, analytical, and solutions-focused Data & Systems Analyst to help us make that happen.
As an independent, co-educational Pre-K-12 International Baccalaureate (IB) school, Mulgrave is committed to providing personalised and ambitious learning experiences for every student. In this role, you’ll help connect the data, systems, and people that make those experiences possible - turning complex information into actionable insights, improving how we work, and helping shape a smarter, more connected school.
Reporting to the Director, Information & Learning Technology, you’ll collaborate with academic, operational, and technology teams to strengthen our data foundations, improve digital systems, and explore how automation and AI can create new possibilities for teaching, learning, and school operations.
What you'll do
Make data work smarter
- Help build a strong data governance programme, ensuring our data is accurate, clearly defined, well managed, and used responsibly.
- Map key data sources, clarify ownership, and strengthen the integrations that connect our school systems.
- Develop and improve reporting, dashboards, and data visualisations that help educators and school leaders make informed decisions.
- Promote data quality, privacy, security, and thoughtful stewardship across the school.
Connect systems to support learning
- Configure and support our Student Information System (Blackbaud), including year-end rollover and preparation for each new school year.
- Work with the Registrar and Digital Learning & AI Specialist to maintain reliable connections between our student information and learning management systems.
- Coordinate and validate data for reporting cycles, including report cards and standardised assessments such as CEM.
- Help transform learning and assessment data into meaningful insights that support educators and student learning.
Find better ways to work
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce manual tasks, and improve efficiency through automation.
- Help evaluate, implement, and improve digital platforms, considering integration, privacy, security, and usability.
- Explore how AI and data-analysis tools can uncover patterns, streamline processes, and reveal new opportunities — always with appropriate human oversight and validation.
- Build clear documentation, establish reliable processes, and maintain a focused portfolio of systems and data improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring
You’re someone who enjoys connecting the dots. You can look at a complex process, ask the right questions, investigate the underlying data, and find a practical way to make things better. You’re comfortable working with technical detail, but you also know how to explain what matters to people who don’t work in technology.
You’ll bring:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in information systems, data analytics, business analysis, educational technology, or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience working with data, business applications, information systems, or system integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent organisation and documentation habits.
- Confidence working with spreadsheets, managing data, investigating discrepancies, and improving data quality.
- The ability to understand complex workflows and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- An interest in exploring APIs, data visualisation, automation, and AI-enabled workflows — and the curiosity to keep learning.
- A strong commitment to privacy, security, accuracy, and responsible data use.
It would be an asset if you have experience with Blackbaud Education Management, Toddle, SQL, APIs, Google Workspace, data governance, dashboards, or K–12 education. You don’t need to know everything on day one; we value curiosity, sound judgement, and a willingness to grow.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Make a visible impact: Help educators and school leaders access the information they need to support students and make better decisions.
- Solve meaningful challenges: Work across academic and operational teams on problems that require both analytical thinking and practical creativity.
- Explore what’s next: Apply automation, data analytics, and AI to real-world challenges in education.
- Build for the future: Strengthen the foundations, integrations, and governance practices that enable the school to innovate with confidence.
- Keep learning: Expand your technical and analytical expertise in a collaborative, forward-thinking school environment.

Stay active and healthy with access to our fitness center, personal trainer, and group classes. We also encourage team building through numerous social events held throughout the year. Additionally, enjoy chair massages and other exclusive perks, along with paid leave for sick days, a personal day, and a volunteer day.
