Engineer/Specialist, process development & technology transfert

Brief description of the position :

In order to meet the needs of its clients in the (Bio)Pharmaceutical sector, FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for process development consultants motivated to carry out mandates. The main missions would be to manage process development/technology transfer projects, to ensure the transfer of R&D batches to commercial batches, to solve technical problems, to work within a multifunctional team, to write standard operating procedures (SOPs) and engineering batch files, and manage budgets as needed.

Main responsibilities :

Without limitation, the main tasks involve:

• Support the department in the transfer of product from R&D batches to commercial batches;
• Develop management plans for process development projects;
• Work closely with multifunctional teams (validation, engineering, etc.);
• Optimize manufacturing processes when transferring R&D batches to commercial batches;
• Write SOPs, engineering batch protocols and support their execution;
• Be the first resource for the resolution of any technical problem related to the process;
• Train production technicians on protocols and process documents;
• Use any risk analysis tool (FMEA) or continuous improvement tool (Lean) on the processes;
• Work closely with suppliers of raw materials and equipment;
• Develop and manage budgets as required.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (chemical engineering), sciences (chemistry, pharmaceuticals), or any other related discipline;
• 1 (one) to 10 (ten) years of experience in industry, preferably in the (bio)pharmaceutical, food or cosmetics sector;
• Project management (an asset);
• Experience in process development and technology transfer (an asset);
• Knowledge of regulations (Health Canada, FDA);
• Excellent skills in MS Office Suite.
• Good communication and writing skills in French and English;
• Mobility (an asset).
