Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Intermediate Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support a large-scale enterprise technology initiative. The successful consultant will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing quality assurance and testing activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role requires expertise in manual and automated testing, accessibility compliance testing, performance testing, and quality assurance best practices within complex enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing comprehensive test strategies, creating and executing test cases, identifying and managing defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality technology solutions.

Scope

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

• Perform functional, system, integration, regression, performance, accessibility (AODA), and user acceptance testing.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using modern testing frameworks and tools.

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.

• Identify, document, track, and support resolution of software defects and quality issues.

Assignment Deliverables

• Detailed test strategy and test plan documentation.

• Comprehensive test cases, test scripts, and test data for all testing phases.

• Automated test scripts and reusable test automation assets.

• Test execution results and defect tracking reports.

• Accessibility (AODA) compliance validation reports.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• 2+ years of experience in software testing in enterprise-level IT environments.

• Hands-on working experience in manual testing and automated testing tools and frameworks.

• Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall testing methodologies.

• Extensive experience with AODA testing and compliance

• Experience creating and maintaining test strategies, test cases and scripts, as well as test reports.

• Experience in test automation tools such as Selenium or Postman for API testing.

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.

• Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of object-oriented testing methodologies.

• Experience developing automated test frameworks and reusable testing assets.

• Experience with security testing and collaboration with cybersecurity teams.
