Join a well established mid-sized law firm in downtown Vancouver looking to add on a Junior Litigation Associate to their busy practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hard working and eager lawyer looking to gain excellent courtroom and litigation experience across a diverse range of practice areas, in a firm that focuses on providing the mentorship, resources, and opportunity to establish your own practice as you continue to grow in expertise.

Compensation

  • $113,000 – $142,000, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

  • Independently handle smaller files from open to close while assisting senior lawyers on a diverse range of complex disputes, ranging from commercial disputes, insurance liability issues, real estate disputes, personal injury matters, estate litigation, and more
  • Appear in court and contribute to hearings and other litigation processes (meaningful courtroom / trial exposure is expected)

Qualifications

  • Be called to the BC Bar and be in good standing
  • 1 – 3 years of post call experience with a focus on general litigation
  • Excellent drafting and interpersonal communication skills
  • Willing and eager to learn and engage with the work!
