Your goal is to move the needle from reactive “break-fixing” to proactive quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform systematic testing on “edge-case” scenarios, such as 3D world trigger interactions and complex player choice outcomes
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using tools including automation and JIRA, providing detailed reproduction steps and impact analysis for developers
  • Actively participate in in sprint planning and meetings to provide perspective on feature feasibility and potential technical risks
  • Conduct rigorous regression testing to ensure new fixes do not negatively impact existing game systems
  • Work with External development to maximize testing abilities
  • Generate weekly test reports and burn downs
  • Assign areas of QA testing to others for a thorough validation of build and its contents

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years of QA experience with at least one shipped AAA title preferably an RPG
  • Technical literacy with Unreal Engine, JIRA and automation
  • A deep understanding of Action RPG mechanics, including combat balancing and world persistence
  • Strong professional communication for providing constructive, diplomacy-focused feedback to the development team
  • Ability to think in the abstract to see how small details fit into a massive action AAA RPG

BENEFITS

  • We offer a rewards package to help you live your best life while doing your best work, including medical and dental coverage, retirement savings contributions and a Flex Benefit program that has a wide array of coverage to best fit your personal situation.
  • We offer 3 weeks of vacation per year in addition to summer and winter studio breaks that are each two weeks long.
  • The hiring range for this position is $75,000-$120,000 CDN in addition to a bi-yearly performance-based bonus. The base pay may vary depending on the candidate’s region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
