Our client, a leading organization in logistics and distribution, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their team. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be part of the Fleet Operations department supporting transportation and dispatch activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Logistics Coordinator/Dispatcher
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Shifts Available:
AM Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
PM Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Pay Rate: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
What's the Job?
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers efficiently across the GTA to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
- Monitor route progress, traffic conditions, and delivery status to proactively resolve any delays.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, reports, and data using Microsoft Excel and internal systems.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance route efficiency and driver productivity.
What's Needed?
- 1–2 years of experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation operations (trucking or courier industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of the GTA and surrounding areas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, formulas, reports).
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
- Highly organized, dependable, and capable of working independently.
