Our client, Purolator, is seeking an AM Sorter to join their team. As an AM Sorter, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Distribution Center and Freight Handling teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: AM Sorter
Location: Canada
Pay Range: $21.31 per hour (Next increase at 3 months as per Collective Bargaining Agreement)
What's the Job?
- Unload freight from curbside trucks onto conveyors and from conveyors into curbside trucks.
- Sort and separate freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet delivery schedules.
- Load freight into linehaul trucks, cube trucks, and trailers.
- Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles.
- Scan shipped and received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted items and priority deliveries.
What's Needed?
- No specialized education required.
- No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, loading, and unloading freight.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately sort and scan packages.
- Dependable team player with the ability to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM (15 hours per week).
