Description

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and procurement strategy initiatives for a growing manufacturing organization. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials, optimizing supplier performance, reducing costs, and supporting overall operational excellence.

Manufacturing experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives
  • Manage supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and vendor performance
  • Partner closely with Operations, Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams
  • Source raw materials, components, packaging, MRO supplies, and indirect spend categories
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements to drive cost savings and value creation
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics, quality standards, and delivery expectations
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through contingency planning and supplier diversification
  • Analyze purchasing data, inventory trends, and market conditions to support decision-making
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes and efficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement best practices
  • Mentor and develop procurement team members where applicable
  • 5+ years of progressive procurement or purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience sourcing materials that directly support production operations
  • Strong contract negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related discipline
  • SCMP, CPSM, CPIM, or related supply chain designation
  • Experience leading procurement professionals
  • Experience within food manufacturing, automotive, industrial manufacturing, engineered products, consumer goods, or packaging environments
