Position Overview
Title: Security Guard
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $18.70 - $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Various 12-hour shifts (days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays)
Overtime Methodology: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Site Overview
Positioned across dynamic, non-healthcare environments in the Greater Toronto Area—including commercial properties, post-secondary campuses, and aviation settings—our sites offer engaging work environments where customer service and safety come together.
What You'll Be Doing
Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to maintain site safety.
Monitor access points, entrances, exits, and CCTV systems.
Provide friendly, helpful assistance to tenants, students, visitors, and members of the public.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergency situations, and requests for assistance.
Write clear, detailed daily activity logs and incident reports.
Follow site-specific post orders, procedures, and safety protocols.
Collaborate effectively with emergency services, clients, and fellow team members.
Must Haves
Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.
Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) certification, or the ability to complete certification prior to onboarding.
Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Flexibility to work various 12-hour shifts, including overnights and weekends.
Nice-to-Haves
Previous experience in commercial, aviation, or campus security.
Experience operating CCTV and monitoring equipment.
