The successful candidate will enjoy a varied surgical caseload and work closely with a supportive interdisciplinary team. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ QUALIFICATIONS Eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca) Must satisfy credentialing requirements of the Labrador-Grenfell Zone Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution Relevant clinical experience (asset) Satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority Satisfactory record of work performance and attendance ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform and supervise surgical procedures Provide inpatient and outpatient care Act as consultant to other physicians Support regional General Surgery services, including travel to other Labrador-Grenfell Zone sites as required Deliver telehealth services Provide on-call coverage for General Surgery including weekends and holidays Work collaboratively with a team of physicians and nurses to deliver required services Support person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ REMUNERATION Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador.
