About GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd.

GrizzlyTrek invests in our people, relationships, and partners, ensuring motivated and ready-to-work individuals meet job opportunities that foster lasting success. We work across Canada in mining, construction, oil and gas, turnarounds, and shutdowns. Dedicated to sustainable employment, we emphasize career opportunities and empowerment for Indigenous communities across Canada. Join us and contribute to building a more inclusive future.

The Role

GrizzlyTrek is seeking one experienced Dozer Operator to join our valued client's team on a lease construction build in Sundre, Alberta. This is a contract position starting immediately.
You will be one of the key operators building the lease from the ground up: stripping, cutting, filling, and grading the pad and access to spec. Hotel accommodations, a daily meal allowance, and a daily truck allowance are provided on top of your hourly rate.

What You'll Do

  • Operate a dozer to clear and strip the lease footprint and stockpile topsoil
  • Cut, fill, and level the lease pad to grade stakes and survey requirements
  • Build and maintain lease access roads, ditches, and drainage
  • Push, spread, and compact fill material in lifts to meet compaction requirements
  • Work safely alongside other heavy equipment, trucks, and ground crews
  • Complete daily pre-use inspections and basic maintenance, and report any defects
  • Follow site safety procedures, hazard assessments, and ground disturbance requirements
  • Assist with final contouring, topsoil replacement, and cleanup as the build wraps up

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as a dozer operator on lease, wellsite, road, or civil construction
  • Ability to work to grade stakes with minimal supervision
  • Valid Standard First Aid (mandatory)
  • Valid H2S Alive (mandatory)
  • Valid driver's licence and a reliable pickup truck
  • Strong safety record and a commitment to safe work practices
  • Comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions
  • Available to start immediately and to stay in hotel accommodations near site

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GPS machine control systems
  • Ground Disturbance Level I or II
  • CSTS-2020 or PST
  • Oilfield lease construction experience in winter conditions

Work Environment

This is an outdoor oilfield construction role with long days in changing weather, including cold winter temperatures. Work takes place on active lease sites where H2S hazards may be present, which is why valid H2S Alive and Standard First Aid are required before your first shift. Hotel accommodations are provided for the duration of the build.

What We Offer

  • $35.00 per hour
  • Hotel accommodations provided (LOA)
  • $50.00 per day meal allowance
  • $175.00 per day truck allowance
  • Immediate start
  • Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications
  • Opportunities for overtime based on operational requirements
  • Life insurance: $100,000 employee / $10,000 spouse / $5,000 per child
  • AD&D insurance with critical illness and cancer coverage
  • Extended health care: drugs, hospital, hearing, orthotics, nursing
  • Paramedical services: chiro, physio, massage, mental health (annual coverage)
  • Vision care: glasses, contacts, laser surgery, and exams
  • Dental care: 80% basic ($2,500), 50% major ($2,500), $2,500 ortho for children
  • Travel insurance: up to $5,000,000 per incident (trips up to 90 days)
  • Ongoing training and career development support
