An Edmonton client is seeking a reliable Welder to join their team.
Welder Highlights:
- Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum, with some stick welding as needed
- Weld and repair trench boxes and panels ranging from 3 to 12 feet, plus some equipment repairs
- Weld 1/4" to 3/8" material, mostly in the flat position (no fitting required)
- Provide yard support, including hydraulic testing: setting equipment in stands, pumping it up, and checking for leaks
- Cross-train and pitch in on other yard and shop tasks where needed
- Keep a safe, clean work area and use required PPE
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements:
- Previous MIG welding experience on steel
- 1–2 years of aluminum MIG welding experience (spool gun / push-pull)
- Stick welding experience is an asset
- Farm, equipment repair, or hands-on mechanical background is an asset
- Hydraulics exposure is an asset
- CWB tickets are not required
- Apprentices welcome; a journeyperson on site can sign off on apprenticeship hours
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Willing to learn, cross-train, and pitch in where needed
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English
- Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious
Hours & Wage:
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- $35.00–$38.00/hour, depending on experience
- Overtime paid at 1.5x after 8 hours per day
- No travel; shop-based
- Long-term opportunity with a path to permanent hire
