ROLE SUMMARY
The General Operator performs production tasks in support of manufacturing operations, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures. Placement within a specific production area will be based on business needs.
YOUR SCHEDULE
4 ON 4 OFF
Work 4 days, then enjoy 4 days off — every rotation. Two day shifts followed by two night shifts, then four consecutive days off. This gives you more long weekends than a standard 5-day work week.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Operate and monitor production equipment following standard operating procedures
- Set up, adjust, and perform basic troubleshooting on machinery as needed
- Inspect products and materials to ensure they meet quality specifications
- Maintain accurate production records and report deviations to your supervisor
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and compliant with SQF and safety standards
- Collaborate with your team to meet production targets
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Good mechanical aptitude — able to perform basic equipment adjustments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
- Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comfortable working rotating shifts including days and nights
- Able to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a flexographic or flexible packaging environment
- Familiarity with quality control or inspection processes
- Knowledge of SQF or food safety standards
