We are currently seeking applicants for a Carpenter position to assist our client. We welcome you to submit your application, if you are interested.

Job Description

The carpenter constructs and repairs woodwork and equipment, working from blueprints, drawings, or oral instructions. builds, repairs, and installs counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework and trim, using carpenters hand tools and power tools. Instals doors and partitions. May build cabinets and other wooden equipment in carpenter shops using woodworking machines, such as saws, routers, drill press, etc. May install items such as hardware, locks, blinds, drapery track and rods, etc. May perform minor plumbing to facilitate counter installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the proper disposal of hazardous wastes and waste streaming.

  • Complete daily safety inspection of the workplace and report any problems to your superior.

  • Perform any other functions, which may be assigned from time-to-time

  • Work to ensure that the Company Quality Policy Standards are meet

  • The carpenter reports to the maintenance supervisor or construction supervisor and through them to the maintenance manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Hold a license as a carpenter, or a combination of training and experience equivalent with good communication skills.

  • Be aware of, and conform to the requirements of the O.H.S.A. and the O.B.C.

  • Have at least five years' experience at the journeyman level.

  • Possessions of his/her own set of tools and have a valid driver's license and a dependable vehicle to access job sites.
