Role Overview

The DevOps Specialist will design and implement automated deployment pipelines, configure cloud environments, and support database and platform operations required for Workflow Services. The role will implement infrastructure-as-code, monitoring and observability tooling, and backup/restore processes to ensure operational reliability, security, and compliance for SDG-facing production deployments. The DevOps Specialist will work closely with developers, product teams, data teams, and platform stakeholders to support secure, scalable, and observable enterprise environments.

Demonstrated Experience

•

Minimum 3 years of experience in the past 5 years in DevOps engineering or platform operations.

•

Experience implementing CI/CD automation using modern tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

•

Experience working with cloud compute platforms (e.g., OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS environments).

•

Experience configuring and managing database systems such as CrunchyDB, Patroni, and PostgreSQL.

•

Experience implementing infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or Bicep).

•

Experience incorporating application observability tooling including Grafana, Prometheus, and Sysdig.

•

Experience applying DevSecOps practices to support application maintenance and operation.

•

Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, Shell scripting).

•

Understanding of software development lifecycle principles and automated testing integration.

Preferred Experience

Preference may be given to candidates with:

•

Experience supporting mission-critical government or regulated enterprise platforms.

•

Experience coordinating DevOps across interdependent platforms or common components.
