Our client, cargo and logistics operations is seeking a Material Handler Cargo to join their team. As a Material Handler Cargo, you will be part of the cargo handling team supporting daily freight movement at the airport. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, the ability to lift and handle packages repeatedly, and the drive to meet time-sensitive deadlines which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Goffs, NS
Pay Range: $19.00
Shift: 7:00AM
What's the Job?
- Load and unload aircrafts and trucks as part of daily cargo freight operations.
- Operate ground support equipment safely and efficiently to support freight movement.
- Lift and move packages repeatedly (up to 60 lbs) while maintaining safe handling practices.
- Sort packages by customer, airport of destination, and other required parameters; communicate piece counts and package information to Lead Hands and Supervisors.
- Handle customer packages and freight with due care and attention, ensuring all safety and security protocols are followed.
What's Needed?
- High School Graduate or equivalent experience.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence (or equivalent).
- Ability to obtain a RAIC pass (Transport Canada Security Clearance) and be willing to complete a background check.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly and work in and around aircraft daily.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent punctuality and attendance, and flexibility to work shift work, weekends, and stat holidays.
