Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Operations Manager on behalf of a leading transportation organization serving the Grey Bruce region. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operations leader with a strong transportation background to oversee daily service delivery, fleet operations, driver management, safety, and customer relationships.

You will play a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services while leading a team of drivers, dispatchers, and operational staff.

  • Pay Rate: $75,000 - $85,000 per year

  • Location: Grey Bruce Region, ON

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily transportation operations, including dispatch, routing, scheduling, and service delivery.

  • Ensure safe, reliable, and on-time service while meeting contractual and operational requirements.

  • Monitor KPIs, operational performance, and vehicle utilization to improve efficiency and control costs.

  • Lead, coach, and support drivers, dispatchers, and administrative staff.

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.

  • Participate in incident investigations, safety audits, and corrective action planning.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, school boards, and community stakeholders.

  • Manage service concerns, escalations, and operational challenges in a timely and professional manner.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, fleet operations, or a similar environment.

  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to provide a clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.

  • College diploma, university degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Experience managing transportation, logistics, fleet, or route-based operations.

  • Proven leadership experience overseeing drivers, dispatch, or field teams.

  • Strong operational, customer service, and performance management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
