Position Overview

Site: Various in Thunder Bay
Site Overview
This role is located at a prominent post-secondary educational campus in Thunder Bay. The environment is vibrant, active, and community-focused. You will work alongside a supportive team dedicated to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive campus for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
What You'll Be Doing
-Patrolling campus buildings, residence halls, parking areas, and grounds on foot.
-Assisting students, staff, and visitors with campus inquiries, directions, and safety escorts.
-Responding promptly to alarm calls, calls for service, and medical first-aid situations.
-De-escalating conflict situations using clear, professional communication.
-Writing clear, concise daily logs and detailed incident reports.
-Enforcing site rules, access control policies, and emergency response procedures.
Must Haves
-Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
-Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
-Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
-Proven customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
-Physical capability to stand and walk for long periods throughout shifts.
Nice-to-Haves
-Previous experience in campus security, customer service, or public-facing roles.
-Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or de-escalation training.
-Valid Ontario Driver's Licence (Class G).
