The Role
As a Senior Software Developer, you will lead the development and ongoing maintenance of products, driving both incremental enhancements and larger feature initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with stakeholders to align on priorities, manage roadmaps, and effectively allocate resources to deliver high-quality results.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in startup environments, enjoys problem-solving, and has a passion for both backend and frontend development with an eye for design. In addition, you will be responsible for:
Collaborating with internal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Success, Product) to gather requirements and prioritize features.
Driving the execution of high-impact projects with speed and quality.
Ensure security, scalability, and performance of web applications.
Mentor and support other developers, sharing best practices and fostering technical growth.
Stay informed about emerging technologies, particularly AI and agentic tools, to integrate into product solutions.
You are highly interested in learning about or already have experience in:

Because of this, we can’t guarantee exactly what you’ll be working on three months from now but we can guarantee that you will be working on high value projects that will foster your growth along with Mappedin’s. At Mappedin, we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach to how we work. While we have colleagues around the globe, some roles are best suited for full-time, in-person work at our home office in Waterloo. This position will require being in office four days per week.
