On behalf of our Government client, Procom is searching for a Software Developer - Senior for a 6-month role. This position is an onsite position with 5 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Software Developer - Senior - Job Description:
The Government of Ontario is embarking on a large Data & AI transformation initiative centered around the Ontario Data Platform (ODP). This platform is being developed as a comprehensive technology ecosystem for Data & AI, focusing on data ingestion, processing, and visualization. The role involves supporting various initiatives related to the platform and executing use cases to meet the needs of different government sectors.

Software Developer - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Run and monitor batch inference jobs on Databricks and other environments.
• Troubleshoot inference issues, log results, and escalate model anomalies.
• Assist with running DSPy pipelines and loading custom models/configs.
• Support evaluation runs using internal metrics.
• Track and summarize performance metrics for inference experiments.
• Help prepare and clean legal text datasets for inference and evaluation.

Software Developer - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• Background in Computer Science, Data Science, or AI/ML.
• Familiarity with Python and libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, or PyTorch.
• Exposure to LLM frameworks such as DSPy, LangChain, or Hugging Face.
• Comfortable working with Databricks / MLflow or other cloud ML environments.
