Position: Intermediate Software Developer

About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Intermediate Software Developer to support the design, development, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of enterprise applications.
The successful consultant will translate business requirements and technical system specifications into working, tested solutions. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Java Enterprise technologies, Spring Framework, relational databases, AWS cloud services, and modern web-development frameworks, with responsibility for application analysis, design, development, unit testing, and technical troubleshooting.
Scope
Translate business requirements and technical specifications into working, tested enterprise applications.
Perform application analysis, design, development, implementation, deployment, troubleshooting, and unit testing.
Design and develop n-tier enterprise applications using Java Enterprise technologies.
Develop solutions using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Batch, and Spring Security.
Develop and maintain data-access solutions using ORM technologies such as JPA and Hibernate.
Assignment Deliverables
Design, develop, test, and implement enterprise Java applications based on approved business and technical requirements.
Produce maintainable application components using established Java EE and Spring development standards.
Develop database queries, stored procedures, persistence layers, and integrations.
Perform unit testing, application troubleshooting, defect resolution, and technical support.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
7+ years of experience developing n-tier enterprise applications.
7+ years of hands-on development experience with Java Enterprise technologies.
Strong expertise in application design, current design patterns, deployment, troubleshooting, and unit testing.
Extensive hands-on Java EE development and troubleshooting experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Batch, and/or Spring Security.
Strong experience with ORM technologies such as JPA or Hibernate.
Experience writing SQL and stored procedures, with exposure to database technologies such as Oracle, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Cosmos DB.
Proficiency working with enterprise databases, with Amazon Aurora, RDS, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and PL/SQL experience highly desirable.
Experience with Eclipse IDE or Rational Application Developer.
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript technologies such as React, Angular, or jQuery.
Nice to Have:
Experience with BPM and rules technologies such as Camunda BPM, Drools Rule Engine, jBPM, Activiti, or IBM Process Server.
Experience with fine-grained security frameworks such as Spring Security, Apache Shiro, or ForgeRock.
